Lahemaa's Bogs and Forests

Pine forests cover 73% of Lahemaa National Park's land area. A network of over 120 kilometers of free trails connects the woods and wetlands.

Lahemaa protects roughly 34,400 hectares of forest and expansive raised bogs. The State Forest Management Centre (RMK) maintains these areas and provides marked hiking paths with wooden boardwalks.

These trails offer the most direct way to observe the park's ecosystems. You will pass erratic boulders left by receding glaciers and walk through habitats supporting moose, wild boars, wolves, and brown bears.
